      Overall, the studies of the Strengthening Families Program (SFP) showed mixed results. The study by Gottfredson and colleagues (), which was conducted only in the Washington, D.C., area, found no statistically significant impacts of the overall SFP intervention on measures of child problem behavior, risk and protective factors, family factors, or negative peer associations. Mobilizing partners, communities and families to build family strengths, promote optimal development, increase school readiness, and reduce child abuse and neglect.
